Challenge:

To create an easy and intuitive solution to allow competitors to select images that were taking of their per formances live on stage. The solution needed to allow several people simultaneously FIND, VIEW, then SELECTthe images that they wanted of themselves, quickly, efficiently, and with NO knowledge of the solution.

Solution:

A kiosk style solution, running on a series of network laptop PCs, all connected to a FileMaker Pro Server fit the bill. The solution allows the end-user to view and order photos, in an easy to use point and click application. The administration side of the solution allows the operators to store, resize and catalog all the photos as well as manage the order process for CDs and printed photos.

Result:

Client VERY happy with FileMaker Pro mini client/server application, sales almost doubled, the flow of those purchasing pictures during the event increased, and processing the images both post and afterwards made things easier and less expensive.
